Charity Bracelets

This bracelet has been designed with ancient African symbols called Adinkra symbols that originated in West Africa. All the profit from the bracelets will go straight towards schooling in Zimbabwe. So click the bracelet below and get YOUR OWN LINK!

The Charms

Adinkra symbols were created by builders in West Africa  to express concepts in a visual way. It was thought that the first symbol was created in 1818 after a war with Egypt, but now believed they were developed earlier. The symbols not only convey a meaningful message but they also enhance the appearance when printed on objects. They are used for design in printings on fabrics and clothing as well as carvings into architectural sculptures and pottery. The 15 charms on this bracelet are only a select few of the hundreds of existing Adinkra symbols.
